Fleece Tie Blanket DIY
One of the easiest projects I’ve done for this holiday season and a girls craft night is the fleece tie blanket. It is pretty easy to do and you can easily customize the blanket based on who you are making it for.
Here’s what you need to get going. As a heads up, the fringe cutting is what took the longest to do. Some people like to use cutting mats to make their cuts exact but I usually do a plaid pattern to give automatic cut lines. ☺️
Estimated time to complete: 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours
Supplies needed:
2 yards of fleece of two different colors/patterns (I usually do a pattern and a solid)
Sewing pins
Pinking shears (if you like the zigzag edges) or scissors
Instructions:
1) Lay the two pieces of fleece on top of each other and pin together.
2) Begin cutting fringe. I recommend doing 3 1/2 to 4 inches at least to be able to double tie the fringe together.
3) Once you finish cutting fringe on all four sides, you can begin double tying the fleece fabrics together.
4) Once you are all finished tying all of the fringe, give the edges a stretch and enjoy snuggling with your new blanket.
I hope you enjoyed this super easy DIY gift and happy crafting!
